Caritas Sri Lanka welcomed representatives from Caritas Norway for an evaluation visit to review the impact of last year’s Food Security Program. The meeting, held at Caritas Chilaw, brought together diocesan teams engaged in food security initiatives to assess progress, share insights, and strengthen future collaborations.
A key highlight of the event was a 10-minute presentation by Caritas Valvuthayam’s Food Security Team, focusing on the inclusion of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and the role of Village Knowledge Centres in promoting sustainable food security. This initiative underscores Caritas Valvuthayam’s commitment to ensuring that vulnerable communities, particularly persons with disabilities, have access to essential resources and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The gathering facilitated knowledge-sharing and strategic discussions, reinforcing the collective mission to enhance food security and community resilience across Sri Lanka.
Caritas Valvuthayam remains dedicated to empowering communities and fostering a future where no one is left behind.
