As part of its ongoing Food Security Project, Caritas Valvuthayam successfully conducted a training program on sustainable agricultural techniques at MN/Thoddavely GTMS, Mannar.
The session was designed to educate and inspire school children to embrace eco-friendly farming practices that ensure long-term food security and environmental sustainability. The training was led by the Agriculture Instructor (AI) in Mannar and saw the enthusiastic participation of 59 students – 35 boys and 24 girls.
This initiative is part of Caritas Valvuthayam’s broader commitment to empowering the next generation with knowledge and skills that foster self-reliance, sustainability, and stewardship of natural resources. Through hands-on training and awareness, students gained valuable insights into the importance of organic methods, soil conservation, and integrated farming techniques.
By investing in the youth, Caritas Valvuthayam sows the seeds for a greener, healthier future for all.
