I am M.M.Suganniya coming from a poor family in Eluthoor, Mannar.  After the GCE Advance Level Examination in 2014, I wandered in search of employment but without any certificate I could not find a job. In this frustrated situation, I got to know through church committee that Caritas-Valvuthayam had been conducting government recognized six – months Computer Application Assistance Programme in Mannar. I applied to this course and selected in the year of 2017 March and successfully completed at the end of September 2017 with a TVEC approved certificate.

The syllabus covered during this period, group works, presentation skills, class discipline, English class and Sinhala class enriched my skills, knowledge and experience. These were real assets for me to perform well my three months on the job training in my parish church as a data entry person. I got a high recommendation by the parish council. After completing three months of on the job training, I was permanently employed as a data entry officer at parish church. It was an unforgettable achievement in my life due to the good service done by Caritas Valvuthayam.

Again I found a government vacancy notice for the position of Government servant, I applied with the submission of my qualification certificates, computer certificate and on the job service letter and recommendation letter. I was amazed to see the invitation for an interview. In 2018, my life became brightened and a new dawn began for my family with the news that I was selected as a government servant.

I have no words to thank Caritas-Valvuthaya.
