Caritas Valvuthayam, in collaboration with the Zonal Education Office – Vavuniya North and with the generous support of Caritas Korea, successfully conducted Grade 5 Scholarship Seminars at two key locations in the Vavuniya North education zone on 29th July 2025.

V/Puthukulam Junior School

Students from seven schools gathered at this center for an interactive and motivational session led by:

V/Nedunkerni Maha Vidyalayam

The second seminar saw the participation of students from four schools, facilitated by:

Mr. M. Muralitharan, In-Service Advisor

Mr. T. Suntharalingam, Zonal Education Office – Vavuniya North

Altogether, over 92 students from 11 schools benefited from these enriching seminars, which were specifically designed to prepare young learners for the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.

These sessions focused on sharpening academic skills, building exam confidence, and encouraging excellence among students from economically and conflict-affected regions.

This initiative was conducted under the project:

“Educational Assistance to Economic Crisis and War-Affected Poor Children in the Northern, Eastern, and North Central Provinces of Sri Lanka.”
