As part of its mission to promote eco-friendly farming and long-term food security, Caritas Valvuthayam’s Food Security Project conducted a Training Program on Sustainable Agricultural Techniques at MN/Andankulam R.C.T.M.V. school.
Led by the project’s Agriculture Instructor (AI), this hands-on training educated students on sustainable farming practices, organic composting, soil preservation, and the importance of eco-conscious cultivation.
A total of 131 students took part in the training 41 boys and 90 girls showing strong enthusiasm and participation, particularly from young female students.
The program aimed to nurture a new generation of environmentally responsible citizens by instilling agricultural knowledge, practical skills, and a love for the land at an early age.
Caritas Valvuthayam continues to build resilient communities through youth-centered environmental education and sustainable food practices.
