“Caritas-Valvuthayam Organizes Photography Basic Training to Empower Youth and Staff”

Caritas-Valvuthayam, in partnership with Misereor, a leading provider of corporate social responsibility initiatives, recently organized a photography basic training program for Media team, IT students, youth of environmental security group of target village, and Valvuthayam’s staff. The program, held from 24th April 2023 to 26th April 2023, was aimed at empowering young individuals and staff members with fundamental photography knowledge and techniques.

The program witnessed around 35 participants from various backgrounds who came together to learn the art of photography. The participants showed great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, making the workshop a successful and engaging experience for everyone involved.

The program included theoretical and practical sessions to teach the basics of photography. The participants were taught camera settings, composition, lighting, and post-processing in theoretical classes. In the practical sessions, the participants were given hands-on experience with cameras and lenses, and they were taught techniques to capture good images.

Additionally, the program included visits to three different locations – Vaddakandal farm house, Palaperumankaddu home garden, and Vankalai Bird sanctuary. These field visits provided the participants with an excellent opportunity to take photographs in a real-life setting and apply the concepts they had learned in the classroom.

The photography basic training program was made possible by the generous support of Misereor. Caritas-Valvuthayam greatly appreciates Misserio’s support and commitment to empowering young individuals and staff members with valuable photography skills. The program will undoubtedly help the participants in their respective fields and will enable them to capture and document their work better.

Moreover, Caritas-Valvuthayam deserves praise for its ongoing efforts to support sustainable development in rural communities. The organization’s commitment to empowering youth and staff members is commendable, and initiatives like the photography basic training program are instrumental in creating a better and more sustainable future for rural communities.
