In Partnership with ChildFund Sri Lanka
Caritas Valvuthayam’s Centre for Disabled (CFD) once again joined hands with ChildFund Sri Lanka to extend vital support through a four-day Medical Assessment Camp in the Puttalam District. This initiative focused on identifying and assisting Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and Children with Disabilities (CWDs) through professional evaluation and tailored interventions.
The assessment camps were conducted in the following divisions:
1. Mahawewa Division – 07.08.2025
2. Mundel Division – 08.08.2025
3. Arachchikatuwa Division – 09.08.2025
4. Kalpitiya Division – 10.08.2025
A total of 66 youth and children participated in the detailed assessments. Many were identified as needing specialized assistive support, including:
Prosthetic and Orthotic devices
Mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches
Developmental devices designed for children with disabilities
The professional team from the Centre for Disabled conducted personalized evaluations, ensuring each participant received appropriate guidance, referrals, and follow-up care to improve mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
This program highlights our unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of vulnerable and marginalized individuals, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
We extend our sincere gratitude to ChildFund Sri Lanka for their strong partnership and shared vision of building a more inclusive and compassionate society. Together, we make a difference—one life at a time.
