Exposure Visit to Caritas – Chilaw Janasaviya: Building Bridges of Peace and Reconciliation

Caritas Mannar – Valvuthayam undertook a significant exposure visit to Caritas – Chilaw Janasaviya, marking a profound milestone in our collective journey of unity and reconciliation on the 6th and 7th of September 2025.

The thoughtfully designed program created a meaningful space for dialogue, collaboration, and shared experiences between the two dioceses. These encounters not only deepened our understanding of one another but also sowed the seeds for a lasting and harmonious relationship.

More than just a two-day visit, this initiative reminded us of a greater truth: reconciliation must extend beyond the boundaries of our immediate communities. In a nation shaped by diversity, it is imperative that we continue to nurture relationships with all ethnic and religious groups.

By fostering mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation, we are contributing to a stronger foundation for peace in Sri Lanka. The spirit of this visit calls us to move forward with renewed commitment—strengthening ties, embracing dialogue, and taking collaborative action to build a future where unity prevails.

Caritas Mannar – Valvuthayam extends heartfelt gratitude to Caritas – Chilaw Janasaviya for their warm hospitality, openness, and shared vision of peace. Together, we walk as pilgrims of hope, building bridges for generations to come.
