On May 10, 2025, the Centre for Disabled (CFD) at Caritas Valvuthayam conducted PTA (Pure Tone Audiometry) assessments for children with hearing impairments.

The assessments were carried out by a qualified Audiologist at the CFD premises, offering expert diagnosis and guidance to better understand the level of hearing challenges faced by the children. This initiative plays a vital role in identifying the appropriate interventions and supporting inclusive education and communication development.

This service is part of Caritas Valvuthayam’s ongoing efforts to ensure access to healthcare, rehabilitation, and educational support for children with disabilities in the Mannar district.
