CBOs in Mullikkulam, Keerisuttan, Kalmadu, Parasankulam, 2nd Mile post and Sinnapandivichchan have taken action against child abuse. Cases of child abuse have increased during these COVID-19 outbreaks. They organized an awareness program for the Children’s Club with the support of Caritas-Valvudayam and distributed brochures on children’s rights and violations, in which some parents also participated.

As a result, CBOs have formed a committee for the observation of child abuse and violence against women. In target villages, two committees have identified one each child abuse case and reported to Child Rights Protection Officer for further actions.
