WE, the IHD- Civic Dialogue team of Caritas- Valvuthamyam started the 3rd year activities of Civic Dialogue special project amidst the restrictions of Covid 19 pandemic. We abided by the rules, regulations and guidelines of the government as well as the ministry of health. During that time we were able to visit the villages and able to prepare the youth and children in view of starting youth and children’s clubs.
In the month of October 2021, under the guidelines of Rev.Fr.S.Anton, the director of Caritas -Valvuthayam, the program coordinator and the field staff formed youth and children’s clubs in KeeliyanKudiyiruppu, PavilupattankattiKudiyiruppu , Kavayankudiyiruppu, Pesalai, Kaththankulam, and Kallikattaikadu. The above are the focal villages where we formed children and youth clubs. They were given awareness training on life skill education and time management. They are motivated to study well and tune their character and spirituality to become responsible citizens of the nation. The respective parish priests, GS and the stakeholders were invited for this inaugural functions of the clubs in the above mentioned villages. Their presence was a motivating source and support for the youth and children not to waste their time and energy in vain rather spend it productively for the studies and other activities.
