Under the food security project, Caritas Valvuthayam Mannar organized an awareness programme for mothers on nutrition food. Mid wife of Vavuniya clinic center was the resource person of the above programme. She explained about the importance of nutrition in day today life,the ways in which a person can get nutritional food from home garden, preparation of healthy food,maintain the nutrition level and how to produce organic food at home.
85 beneficiaries participated in this programme for the following villages : Samathana preschool – Nelukkulam, Clinic centre – sekkaddippulavu and Muththamil preschool -sekkaddippulavu.This programme was conducted on 04th, 07th and 08th of September 2020.
