My name is C.Mariyakeerthana. I am studying at St. Xavier’s Girls’ College (National School) in Grade 13 Arts. For the last two years I have been receiving financial support under Poland Scholarship Project to continue my education without hindrance. I hailed from a poor family. My farther abandoned us when I was a child. My mother struggled to bring me up. I didn’t give up my education in the midst of great difficulties. I got through in GCE (Ordinary Level) Exam. I became eligible to study GCE (Advance Level). I found it difficult to continue my education due to lack of financial resources. My mother too found it difficult to afford it. Extra classes becomes a must. At this juncture we came to know about Caritas –Valvuthayam and its activity through one of my friends. One day my mother and I visited this place with a request letter. We met Fr. Director and handed over the letter that we had drafted. Fr.Director went through and agreed to support us. I was included at the Poland Scholarship project. Now I could see a bright improvement in the field of my education. I was able to get a better results in the last term exams. I enjoyed a peace of mind and I am able to continue my education without any barrier. I assure that I will pass the GCE (Advance Level) Exam and will be selected to continue my higher education at the University. The financial support that I have been receiving has enhanced my education. Thanks to Caritas –Valvuthayam and to the donors as well
