Inauguration of ‘Federation Level Committee” and distribution of Certificates of IHD-Civic dialogue Project by His Lordship the Bishop of Mannar

IHD-Civic dialogue Project by Caritas- Valvuthyam is being implemented in 08 focal villages in Mannar and Vavuniya Districts, which is an integrated and human development Programme focusing on Social and Economic development from 2019 onwards. Under this programme, a residential Training workshop was conducted on 24th and 25th of March 2021 at Caritas-Valvuthyam, Mannar for the members of CBOs from these Focal Villages under the guidance of the Director, Caritas- Valvuthyam, Mannar, abiding by prevailing COVID -19 guidelines.

Mr. Arivalagan (President, Vavuniya District NGO Consortium) was the Resource Person and Mr. Sajith Silva (Project Manager, Caritas-Sri Lanka) Ms.Michel (NC Project Coordinator of this Project, Ms. Sathurani (NC Programme  Officer ) too participated as distinguished guests. The above work shop was organized to form a Federation in order to facilitate the members to have a sustainable development in their life. The activities of this Federation was inaugurated by His Lordship the Bishop of Mannar, Rt.Rev.Dr. Emmanuel Fernando and certificates to the 40 participants who took part in this Training were distributed by His Lordship. It should be gratefully noted that funds for this Project were granted by Caritas-Korea through Caritas-Sri Lanka.
