On 20th May 2022, Caritas Valvuthayam,Mannar, through Civic Dialogue special project, organized a workshop for the village level women leaders. The main theme of this workshop was Family Fiscal planning. Mr.JeyaMalar,( business planning guide) was the resource person for this program. Women from 6 focal villages of the diocese of Mannar had partaken in this training. This training was prearranged by the guidance and support of Rev.Fr.Anton, the Director of Valvuthayam.Rev.Fr.Arunthas, The Assistant director officially initiated this program with his blessings.
The resource person focused the importance of finance planning at this very crucial moment of economic crisis in our country. As women play vital role in managing the family’s economy, women are invited for this training. To help out the families from this crisis, the resource person taught certain tactics reduce the unnecessary expenditures, making use of the resources available in and around the villages, plantation of home gardening and producing vegetables that are essential, and the need for finance planning as a family and so on. The participants were interested very actively participated in this training. The program began at 9.30 am and went up to 2.30 Pm. It was great success; we hope this will be a great support to the families.
