The Disaster Risk Reduction Management(DRRM)awareness session was held at Caritas Valvuthayam for the members of Self Help Group (SHGs) and CBOs on the 6th June 2023 under the project intervention of Misereor funded project. The Director of Caritas- Valvuthayam Rev. Fr. S. Anton opened up the session with his opening remarks and introductory session of the workshop. He further emphasized the roles and responsibilities of each CBO leaders and committee members in initiating the precaution measures in advance as much as possible to reduce the causalities during and after any disaster situation. The District Kachcheri DMC Asst. Director Mr. Theelipan facilitated the workshop session and trained the participants on the basic tools and precaution community level measures. In total 90 participants from the project target villages of Caritas-Valvuthayam attended and benefitted from the awareness session.
