On January 16, 2025, Caritas Valvuthayam joyfully celebrated the Pongal festival, a vibrant occasion dedicated to expressing gratitude and fostering community spirit. The celebration began with a special Mass to honor and thank farmers, whose hard work sustains our lives and provides us with food.

Caritas Valvuthayam is deeply committed to supporting the farming community. We work hand-in-hand with farmers to encourage the production of nutritious food and provide livelihood support. Through training programs and other initiatives, we empower farmers to adopt sustainable practices, such as cultivating long-term perennial crops and utilizing intercropping techniques to maximize resources and improve yields.
