As part of its ongoing efforts to support children with disabilities, Caritas Valvuthayam’s CBR (Community-Based Rehabilitation) project recently organized an IQ test mobile camp across several villages in the Madhu division, including Palampiddy, Pandiviruchchan, Sinna Pandiviruchchan, Sothinagar, and Kaddaiyadampan.
Nine children with disabilities participated in this significant initiative, which was led by Mr. A. Arumaithurai, a respected clinical psychologist from Jaffna. The IQ tests aimed to assess the cognitive abilities of these children, providing valuable insights into their needs and potential.
In addition to the IQ assessments, the camp also featured rehabilitation assessments conducted by the CFD (Centre For Disabled) team. These assessments are crucial in identifying the specific rehabilitation needs of each child, allowing for tailored support and interventions to enhance their quality of life.
This mobile camp underscores Caritas Valvuthayam’s commitment to reaching out to the most vulnerable populations in remote areas, ensuring that children with disabilities receive the care and attention they deserve. The organization continues to work tirelessly to promote inclusion and provide essential services to those in need.
