Developing Leadership and Communication Skills among Students: Insights from a Seminar.

A seminar was held on 05.04.2023 at Caritas-Valvuthayam’s Auditorium for university students, aimed at developing leadership and communication skills among them. The seminar was organized under the auspices of the “Educational Assistance Program for Children Affected by Economic Crisis and War” project, sponsored by the Caritas Korea Fund, and attended by 40 students who received financial assistance under the program.

During the seminar, Mr. P.S. Gnanarajah, Deputy Director of Education Zonal Education Workshop Mannar, highlighted the importance of developing good communication skills and leadership abilities among students. He urged students to not only focus on improving their education but also to develop the skills necessary to take on responsibilities and get things done neatly. He emphasized the need for forming good leadership to address the country’s problems and encouraged students to prepare themselves accordingly.

The Director of Caritas Valvuthayam, Rev. Fr. S. Anton, also spoke at the seminar and stressed the importance of having a proper understanding of leadership and communication for students to succeed in future interviews, even if they complete a Leadership and Communication skill development program.

The seminar provided valuable insights for students on how to develop leadership and communication skills and emphasized their importance in achieving success in both personal and professional life.
