On the 17th and 18th of June 2023, two remarkable medical camps were held in Mannar and Anuradhapura district of Sri Lanka, providing essential healthcare services and support to elderly individuals in need. Medical Camp in Adampan Division, Mannar:
In the picturesque Adampan Division of Mannar, a medical camp was held on the 17th of June, leaving a profound impact on the lives of elderly individuals residing in the area. Deaflink and Caritas Valvuthayam joined forces, bringing together dedicated medical professionals and volunteers to provide much-needed assistance.
The medical camp primarily focused on improving mobility and ensuring orthotic support for the elderly. Thanks to the collaboration between the two organizations, a total of 32 elders received comprehensive medical care, including check-ups, consultations, and specialized treatments. In addition to the medical services, Caritas Valvuthayam generously donated 38 mobility devices, enabling the elderly to move with increased independence and confidence.

On the following day, June 18th, another impactful medical camp took place in the Anuradhapura District. This event, organized by Deaflink and supported by Caritas Valvuthayam, witnessed the active participation of 34 elderly individuals seeking medical attention and support.
The medical camp focused on providing comprehensive healthcare services tailored to the specific needs of the elderly participants. Medical professionals, with their expertise and compassion, conducted thorough examinations and consultations, ensuring that each individual received appropriate treatment and care.
As a remarkable gesture of support, Caritas Valvuthayam contributed an additional 38 mobility devices to the elderly individuals in attendance. These devices play a crucial role in enhancing mobility, promoting independence, and fostering a sense of dignity among the elderly recipients.
