The purpose of the exposure visit is;
1. To learn new tools and techniques and widen the knowledge in community based rehabilitation of CwDs.
2. To obtain an understanding of the various types of disabilities and the possible development interventions.
3. To develop new strategies to collaborate with stakeholders more efficiently.
4. To get to know the Indian CwD families’ challenges, rights and success stories to reflect on the Sri Lankan reality.
5. To empower parents to play a more proactive role in the life of CwD and in handling societal pressures.
Methodology;
§ specialized training by a CBR training institution.
§ Direct dialogue with village level disable people’s organization (VDPOs).
§ Discussion with likeminded organizations and Church institutions serving CwD families.
Exposure Visit Period;
6 days and 5 nights (including travelling days)

Selection criteria for participants;
· Mothers who have been actively participating from the inception of the CBR programme funded by Kindermissionswerk in Sri Lanka.
· Volunteers who have been actively involved in CBR community activities.
· Diocesan coordinators and the National coordinator who are in charge of the programme implementation.
