A delegation of Interreligious Forum from Norway paid a visit to our Diocese as well as to the Socio Economic Development Diocesan Centre i.e. Caritas –Valvuthayam on 16^th August 2019. This delegation included the Bishops Her lordship Bishop Kari Veitegerg, Lutheran Bishop of Oslo; His Lordship Bishop Bernt Eldsvig, Roman Catholic Bishop of Oslo;Mr.Aron Halfer to together with our Bishop Rt.Rev.Dr.Lineol Fidelis Emmanuel Fernando and representatives from the SEDEC. Their visit is more over a pastoral visit with the purpose specifically to meet with the religious leaders of all faith communities in Mannar to promote inter religious amity in the district as well as in the country. The forum assembled their discussed more on the initiatives taken   towards inter religious amity and the challenges faced in the path of sustainable peace and Reconciliation in the district and in the Country.
