Early intervention activity to identify children with low speech ability and awareness about the importance of early intervention was organized and held in the special education Unit of Mn/ Andankulam R.C.T.M.S, on 17.06.2022.

45 people participated as Children with Speech impairment and their parents. 20 children with disabilities in some villages of Manthai West Region were selected and evaluated for speech and language therapy and 13 children with disabilities were identified as having continuous need for speech and language therapy.

Thanks to the principal, speech therapist and staff of Nuffield School in Jaffna for their help in carrying out this activity.
