Family Development awareness for the CBO members at Katpagapuram and Vadakadu villages.

With the guidance and support of Rev. Fr. S. Anton, the director of Caritas Valvuthayam the coordinator and field officers of IHD- Civic Dialogue organized an awareness Programme for the CBO members at Katpagapuram and Vadakadu villages on 29th October 2021. Altogether nearly 90 CBO members from both villages were participated in this programme.

Rev. Sr.Sahaya Mary also participated as a resource person to address the CBOs. Rev. Sister talked about how the mobile usage distracts the parents from parent-child interactions and how it affects the overall development of children. It was an interactive session where all the members could share their problems in upbringing of their children. This session enabled them to understand their children and how to be a good parent.

In these villages children were also organized into groups and introduced them about the children’s welfare club, and formed them as clubs, elected leaders and secretaries for the same. Finally Sister was able to propose different activities to be undertaken by the clubs.
