Caritas Valvuthayam is working with governments the District of Mannar to prevent the spread of COVID – 19. On 28.03.2020 we did the awareness for the people who lives in Nanattan Divisional Secretary. Funded by Stromme Foundation.
The information they need to know on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes the symptoms of coronavirus to appear. Symptoms may include fever (high temperature), coughing, shortness of breath or breathing difficulties. And also we advise them to
- Wash their hands frequently using soap and water,
- Cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue when coughing or sneezing. Dispose of used tissue immediately.
- Avoid close contact with anyone who has cold or symptoms.
- Seek medical care early if you or your child has a fever, cough or difficulty breathing.
