Your tasks
- Through your trauma-sensitive offers, you support women with marginalized social status, especially war widows.
- The activities you initiate promote exchange and social cohesion among women.
- Through targeted support, you will help women to develop income-generating opportunities.
- You plan and conductcapacity building trainings for Valvuthayam staff, involving both Christian and Hindu women.
- You will support and design projects for conflict transformation and dealing with a violent past.
- You will accompany thematic workshops on gender and ethnic sensitivity.
- You will be responsible for the proper disbursement and administration of funds on site, in accordance with donor guidelines and AGIAMONDO’s specifications. You will work in partnership with colleagues from the partner organization.
Your profile
Your profile
- You have a university degree, for example in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, education, social sciences or another relevant field. Experience abroad, especially in Asia, is welcome.
- You have sound knowledge in the development and implementation of empowerment processes and in dealing with people who have a traumatic, violent past.
- You have experience in organizing and leading workshops and in training multipliers (train the trainer).
- Experience in project management is an advantage.
- You are fluent in English and willing to learn Tamil. You are also willing to travel regularly.
- You are open to temporarily leading a limited social life outside of urban (leisure) activities.
- You are an EU or Swiss citizen and identify with the goals and concerns of the church’s development and peace work.
